The nominations for the 29th annual Golden Raspberry awards were announced this morning in Los Angeles, as is traditional, just one day ahead of tomorrow's Academy Award nominations. I completely disagree with both SPEED RACER and STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS being nominated for Worst Prequel, Remake, Ripoff, or Sequel. While CLONE wasn't perfect, it was still enjoyable. And you all know how I feel about SPEED RACER, but I also recognize that it is the perfect target for most people who just don't get it...and obviously if it's nominated here, they don't....
The eventual “winners” will be unveiled in intentionally tacky ceremonies set for the now traditional Oscar® eve, Saturday night February 21, 2009 at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood.
